Hattrick Flops for Varun Tej: Operation Valentine is Total Washout!

Varun Tej, who is battling with a string of failures, has added yet another disaster to the legion. His latest offering, Operation Valentine, turned out to be a Box Office dud. The film is expected to incur hefty losses for its producers and distributors, making it a total washout at the cinemas. While the film was made with a budget of Rs 40 crore, it reportedly earned about Rs 6 crore world-wide share in the first weekend. With no signs of improvement in the coming days, the trade has declared it as a colossal disaster in Varun's career.

Varun Tej's last hit was Gaddalakonda Ganesh, which managed to draw audiences initially but ended up with average earnings. While F2 and F3 are successful, these films are multi-starrers which also have Venkatesh as another lead hero. Varun tasted three successive failures - Ghani, Gandeevadhari Arjuna, and Operation Valentine.

Coming to Operation Valentine, the film was also released in Hindi and turned out to be a debacle. The collections in the US and Overseas markets are also quite poor in tandem with the domestic box office collections. With a hat-trick of flops at the box office, Varun is going through an acid test. He is now focusing on his upcoming films.
