EXO Kai’s Emotional Farewell

Kai was preparing for EXO's anticipated comeback this year, but SM Entertainment announced that due to the recent changes in military laws, EXO Kai will enter the army training center on May 11th. He will work as a social service agent once he has completed his basic military training.

The unexpected announcement of Kai's enlisting stunned the audience. During a live broadcast on May 3, Kai said that he had a lot planned, but it was disappointing. He also stated that there was no other option,he said, admitting that he first learned of the enlistment date that day.

In Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on the ninth, Kai hosted a free fan gathering at Yes24 Live Hall. Kai met fans just two days prior to his enlistment on the 11th. Live coverage of the fan event was available on EXO's YouTube page.

Kai remarked on the complimentary fan meeting that he wanted to see his fans before his enlistment and that he asked them for it. Kai further requests the fans to wait for him while he practices hard and studies during his time in the military.
