The Government of India announced the Padma Awards on the eve of the Republic Day. The Centre honoured actor Chiranjeevi with Padma Vibhushan in the field of Art. Padma Vibhushan is the second-highest civilian award in India, the first one being the Bharata Ratna. Chiranjeevi has been chosen for this award for his exceptional service to art.
Chiranjeevi is the second actor from Tollywood to receive the honour. Akkineni Nageswara Rao is the first one. The Megastar is the seventh actor in India to be honoured with this prestigious award.
The Waltair Veerayya and Vishwambhara actor was given the Padma Bhushan in 2006. He is not only a super-popular star in Tollywood but is also a philanthropist. The actor, who is a former politician, provides services to society through his blood bank. His generous acts and his outstanding performances in about 155 movies have made him a demigod.
During COVID-19, Chiranjeevi helped a lot of cine workers and arranged oxygen cylinders for the needy. His journey has been incredible. He comes from a humble background.
Chiranjeevi plays a major role in the flourishment of the industry. It is the idea of Chiranjeevi to keep the industry shining forever. Many actors from his family have earned so much fame.
It is a proud moment for the Telugu industry today.
Sakshi Post wishes congratulations to Chiranjeevi for this tremendous achievement.
