BLACKPINK’s Jennie Paves Her Way To The Billboard Charts

Jennie, a member of the girl group, BLACKPINK, has made her victorious return to the Billboard charts with her latest track. Jennie alongwith The Weeknd and actor Lily-Rose Depp collaborated on the track, ‘One of the Girls.’ The song has now made its way to the sales hit. Jennie achieves this feat by marking another star in her career. 

Jennie’s new single makes its entry at No. 11 on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart. This makes it nearly miss the Top 10 spot. Jennie’s appearance on the chart is commendable and by achieving this milestone, she becomes the first female South Korean Artist to accomplish the spot.

Prior to this, k-pop artists like BTS’ RM, Sam Kim, Got7’s Jay B have already achieved a spot on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart. By achieving this feat, Jennie has made a path for the other female artists and girl groups to follow.

Previously, many South Korean Artists had briefly made their way on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart, but their presence was not for a long period of time. Although temporarily, K-pop stars such as BTS’ RM, Sam Kim, Got7’s Jay B took their spot on the chart. It is very rare to find foreign artists on the R&B sales chart in the U.S, especially from countries like South Korea. Recently, many South Korean artists have increased their reach and also are loved by people all over the globe with their music and are paving their way on the charts.

Jennie’s latest track ‘One of the Girls’ is featured in the TV show ‘The Idol’. This show has earned both negative and positive response from the viewers creating strong ratings. The show included renowned artists like Madonna, Future and many more which helped in paving its way towards the Billboard Charts. Additionally, Jennie is also one of the stars in ‘The Idol’ with the stage name Jennie Ruby Jane.
