Filmmaker Kiran Rao has said that she would watch Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial Animal days after a verbal spat between them. Vanga had asked why Rao doesn’t flag the misogyny in Aamir Khan's (her ex-husband) past films.

During an interview with The Lallantop, director Kiran Rao spoke about the positive response she had been receiving for her recent project — Laapataa Ladies. She also discussed the rising trend among audiences favoring action-packed films enriched with visual effects and excitement, citing movies like “Animal” as examples.

When asked whether she had seen “Animal” yet, Kiran confessed that she hadn’t, but conveyed her keenness to watch it. “I want to see it,” she replied.

‘Aur maine suna hai unka craft bahut hi accha hai, Sandeep Reddy Vanga ka craft. Aur Ranbir toh hai hi acche actor” (And I have heard that Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s craft is very good. And Ranbir Kapoor is a great actor), Rao added.

Some time ago, Vanga had claimed that Rao did not talk about the misogyny in Khan’s ‘90s movies. Kiran should "check their own surroundings” before criticising movies directed by him, like his 2019 directorial Kabir Singh, Vanga told Dainik Bhaskar.
