The Uttar Pradesh and Bihar governments have announced school closures in select regions on November 6, 2025, to accommodate major local events and civic responsibilities.
Uttar Pradesh: Anupshahr Schools Closed for Lakkhi Kartik Purnima Mela
All government and private schools in Anupshahr, Bulandshahr district will remain closed from November 3 to November 6, 2025. The decision comes in view of the Lakkhi Kartik Purnima Ganga Snan Mela, a significant religious fair that attracts large crowds and heavy traffic.
The Basic Education Officer of Bulandshahr stated that the closure is intended to ensure the safety and convenience of students, teachers, and parents. Schools and colleges outside the Anupshahr area will continue to operate as usual.

Schools that were already closed for Guru Nanak Jayanti may remain closed if they fall under the affected districts.
