Meet the Youngest Kuchipudi Dancer -Kumari Avani Reddy

Kumari Avani Reddy Visavaram performed for her Kuchipudi Arangetram at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad on 15th October 2022. She is rhe youngest ever dancer to make a Kuchipudi Arangetram.The event was graced by  Sri Mamidi Harikrishna, Director of the Telangana Cultural Department.

 She performed five items- Purandaradas Devaranama: Gajavadana Beduve, Prahalada Shabdam, Tarangam, Sivastakam, and Thillana. Avani Reddy started her Kuchipudi dance practice since the tender age of 4 years under the able guidance of Guru Latha Manzoosha. Avani is currently 9 years old and studying at Manthan School. She is ardent and conscientious when it comes to dancing. Avani after the performance said“I would like to become a people’s dancer and take the concept of Kuchipudi to every corner of the world and make it a regular practice,”

Her Guru Latha Mazoosha expressed her delight with the way the event was conducted and she said, “When Avani joined my institute, I have seen the spark in the eyes of Avani to learn the art of Kuchipudi. Her willingness to learn, spontaneity, and grasping power is her main strength.”

Bala Reddy and Rajini Solipuram  are parents of Kumari Avani Reddy. They are one of the main reasons for the success of this event.
