Prakasam: In a major development to the sensational Prakasam murder case of software engineer Radha, the police said they suspected the husband Mohan Reddy of the victim behind the murder. The police have apprehended Mohan and are interrogating him to find out the motive for the crime.

A 35-year-old married woman Radha was found dead on the night of May 17 under mysterious conditions at Zillellapadu in Veligandla mandal. Though the couple was staying in Hyderabad, Radha had visited the village recently.

As per details, a person named Kashi Reddy had borrowed Rs 80 lakh from Radha and her techie husband Mohan Reddy and had failed to return money despite several reminders. It is reported that the loan issue had caused trouble in the lives of the couple and their marriage was on the verge of collapse.

Radha left home for Kanigiri on Wednesday morning and she did not return till late in the night, her parents said. Later, they approached the police and filed a complaint. The police filed a missing person case and started their investigation and traced her near Zillellapadu road based on her mobile phone location tracking details. They, however, found her body lying in a pool of blood. The Veligandla police have registered a case under IPC Section 302 (murder) in this regard.

During its investigation, police found out that Radha was murdered as the accused was eyeing her Rs 1.5 crore insurance money. Initially, the police suspected Kashi Reddy for the murder but now Mohan Reddy is also under police’s radar. The police are questioning him to solve the murder case.
