Mumbai: Srinivasan Swamy, also known as Sundar Swamy, received the IAA Golden Compass Award, the highest honor from the International Advertising Association (IAA). He was given this award at the 45th IAA World Congress in Malaysia by Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak. This award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to marketing, advertising, and media worldwide. Swamy is the first Indian to receive this prestigious award, joining the ranks of other industry legends like Shelly Lazarus and Paul Polman.

Swamy is the Chairman & Managing Director of R K SWAMY LIMITED, which will soon be listed on the Indian Stock Exchanges. He also holds leadership positions in organizations like The Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA) and The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC).

Upon receiving the award, Swamy expressed his gratitude to his colleagues and the industry for their support. He dedicated the award to his late father, who taught him the value of dedicating time to the industry.

Ramesh Narayan, an advertising veteran who has worked closely with Swamy, described him as an inspiring leader with a strong work ethic. Despite his busy schedule, Swamy manages to allocate quality time to various endeavors.

Swamy has been a prominent figure in the marketing services industry since 1998, holding key positions in organizations like the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and the India Chapter of IAA. He played a crucial role in revitalizing these organizations and launching significant industry events like the IAA Leadership Awards and Goafest.

Additionally, Swamy has been involved in various industrial bodies and charitable activities, showcasing his commitment to social causes and education.
