BTS’ New track ‘Take Two’ Makes Its Way To Hot 100

This week, BTS makes a comeback to the Billboard Hot 100 with the addition of their most recent song, "Take Two," to the list of the most-streamed songs in the US. The song is their first hit in 2023 and continues their winning streak, which is by far the longest among the others.

BTS receives their primary win of the year as "Take Two" premieres at No. 48 on this week's Hot 100. Since 2017, the group has consistently appeared on the Hot 100, and with the release of this new smash, 2023 will mark the seventh consecutive year in which they have done so.

BTS made their debut on the Hot 100 in 2017 with their song "Mic Drop," which featured Desiigner, a popular rapper at the time. Few people at the time realised how significant the septet would eventually become, making the fact that they even made the list historic at the time.

They appeared four times on the Hot 100 in 2018. Since their success at the time depended heavily on collaborations, this collection included songs with Nicki Minaj and Steve Aoki.

They had two additional hits in 2019, including "Boy with Luv" with Halsey, which peaked at No. 8 on the chart. They collaborated with Lauv for the song  "Make It Right."

The year BTS completely broke out on their own as of 2020. They sent 12 songs to the Hot 100, which is remarkable. They not only became the very first band to reach No. 1 but also became the first band to have three No. 1 hits in the same year, which was a milestone that very few musicians had ever accomplished.

BTS doubled their overall number of Hot 100 champions in 2021, propelling three additional catchy cuts to the top of the chart. Four of the songs they released that year made their Hot 100 debuts, and all but one of them topped the list.

The band had a calm year in 2022, adding just three more Hot 100 appearances to their history. Notably, with Benny Blanco, they even scored a new top 10 hit. By the end of the year, it was obvious they were taking a break, but fans never stopped supporting them.

Now, in 2023, BTS's "Take Two" continues to rise on the Billboard Hot 100, extending their already remarkable record of success. The South Korean superstars show time and time again that their appeal has no bounds—not even when they declare they are on a hiatus as a band—by regularly making their mark on the most competitive chart in America.
