Anantapur: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the YSRCP government has fulfilled 2019 manifesto promises by considering it as a holy book during his electrifying campaign at Tadipatri in Anantapur district on Sunday.

Addressing the people, Chief Minister Jagan promised the establishment of an Agriculture College in Tadipatri Constituency post elections.

“This election is not to elect MPs and MLAs but to continue the welfare schemes which change the lives of the poor for the next five years. All the schemes will continue if you vote for YSRCP, but will be discontinued if you vote for TDP,” asserts Chief Minister Jagan.

Criticising the TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu for repeatedly promising schemes which are impossible to implement, CM Jagan said, “Chandrababu is coming back with his lies and fake promises to suck the blood of the poor like a Chandramukhi (referring to the movie character).”

“We have fulfilled the manifesto promises by treating it as a holy book. It will be etched in history that your child (Jagan) has pressed the DBT button 130 times, disbursing over Rs. 2.70 lakh directly into the account of beneficiaries,” said the Chief Minister amidst the rousing crowd.

Explaining the jobs provided by the YSRCP government, the Chief Minister said, “Over 2.31 lakh jobs were provided by our government benefiting SC/ST/BC/and minority communities. In every village/town, we have brought door-to-door services with the help of the secretariat system and volunteer system.”

The Chief Minister also highlighted revolutionary measures like revamping the government schools, village clinics, and Aarogya Suraksha for doorstep delivery of health services, and financial assistance without corruption and in a transparent manner by YSRCP.

“In government schools, we have made changes from infrastructure, digital classrooms with IFPs and smart TVs, Tabs to students, mid-day meals (Gorumudda), distribution of textbooks, the curriculum changes. We are bringing in the IB curriculum, which will start for first grade, and by 2035 students will complete the 10th grade with certification and be fluent in the English language as well,” said Chief Minister Jagan.

The Chief Minister also underscored the measures taken in higher education like online certification courses from reputed universities, which are being provided to students.

“Women empowerment schemes, Rythu Bharosa (financial assistance) to support the farmers from seeding stage to harvesting, RBK system which further helps the farmers are implemented by the YSRCP government,” the Chief Minister added.

He elaborated on the measures of the YSRCP government like zero interest crop loans, 9-hour free electricity, input subsidy, crop insurance which would be etched in the history, MSP sale of crops, 50 percent  reservation in the nominated posts given to the SC/ST/BC and minority communities, 67 percent of the ministers were from SC/ST/BC and minority communities.

The Chief Minister also noted that 100 seats out of 200 (Assembly 175, General 25) were given to SC/ST/BC and minority communities. “But look at the opposition alliance. A chief Minister who has ruled for 14 years (3 terms), but did he do any good to the people of the state,” asked CM Jagan.
