Tadepalli: YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has asserted that the people have resolved to re-elect the YS Jagan government in the upcoming elections. Addressing a media conference here on Monday, Sajjala emphasized that the TDP-led alliance is feeble and unlikely to overcome the YSRCP’s strong momentum in the May 13 polls.

Exposing the political maneuvering of the Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP, he said the opposition party not only dispatches its leaders to other parties like the BJP and Jana Sena Party but also influences their leaderships to secure seats for them. This strategy has been employed by the TDP in Bhimavaram, Avanigadda, and Anaparthi constituencies, he stated.

Sajjala highlighted the disappointment of Janasainiks who had hoped to see their leader, Pawan Kalyan, serve as chief minister if the opposition were to win. However, Naidu dashed their aspirations by limiting the alliance to two Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats under the seat-sharing agreement.

Furthermore, considering the TDP’s approach, it appears that Pawan Kalyan might be replaced by the TDP’s ticket aspirant SVSN Varma at the eleventh hour. Sajjala pointed out that Naidu is very well aware that people are unlikely to vote for his party and therefore formed an alliance with the BJP while maintaining an understanding with the Congress for the elections.

Regarding Chiranjeevi’s support for the TDP-BJP-JanaSena alliance, Sajjala asserted that it would not boost the electoral prospects of the opposition in the polls. He acknowledged Chiranjeevi as a talented actor and clarified that nobody has insulted him.
