Who will Jana Sena field from Palakonda and Avanigadda seats?

The distribution of party tickets for the ensuing elections has put the spotlight on the leadership skills of Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan, who is seemingly following in the footsteps of his coalition partner and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu. Jana Sena leader has been accused of ignoring the core party leader and giving tickets to the turncoats.

The discontent is growing in Jana Sena over the ‘unfair’ ticket distribution. Several disgruntled leaders from the party are crossing over to the ruling YSRCP in batches. Some party leaders have adopted a wait-and-watch policy till the announcement of election notification which is scheduled for April 18, 2024 while others still believe the words of Jana Sena leader.

The opposition party is expected to announce the names of candidates for remaining Allagadda and Palakonda assembly seats. Jana Sena party announced Vamsi Krishna Yadav as its candidate for the Visakhapatnam South Assembly constituency on Sunday. Yadav is a former YSRCP MLC who quit the ruling party in December last year to join JSP, following which he was disqualified as a member of the Legislative Council.

Nimmaka Jayakrishna seems to be a strong contender for Palakonda assembly seats (Parvathipuram Manyam district). He was a TDP constituency incharge and is expected to join the Jana Sena fold later today. YSRCP’s Viswasarayi Kalavathi has been elected to Assembly from Palakonda constituency thrice.

Avanigadda assembly seat was allotted to the Jana Sena party as part of the seat-sharing deal. The TDP leader Mandali Buddha Prasad, who has a long political career in Congress and TDP parties, is joining Jana Sena as Pawan Kalyan has assured him the party ticket from Avanigadda seat.
