Two Inter State Thieves Arrested In Tirupati

TIRUPATI: Tirupati police on Tuesday have arrested two inter state thieves through a Locked House Monitoring System (LHMS). Police have recovered 50 grams of gold in a case from one offender Venkatesh. Another offender Vamshidhar Reddy barged into a house and committed theft of Rs 1800. Police caught Vamshidhar Reddy when he barged in to an another house in Gopal Raju Colony with the help of LHMS. The offender reached Tirupati after his release from Khammam jail on June 8, the police said. 

Tirupati East Deputy SP Muralikrishna said that Vamshidhar Reddy was accused in 55 cases and on the other hand, another offender Venkatesh was convicted in 20 cases.

The duo were booked under the Preveventive Detention (PD) act and sent them to remand, the DSP added. 

What is Locked House Monitoring System (LHMS)? 

Locked House Monitoring System was nothing but placing of secret cameras on intimation by residents who are going on vacation. The Locked House Monitoring System comprises camera, which takes picture of thieves entering the house, and send it to phone of house-owner as well as the police. Within minutes of receiving the picture, the police swing into action and arrest the intruders.
