If you’ve followed the news about the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Memantha Siddham bus yatra, we don’t have to tell you how successful the YSRCP’s election campaign was. The massive turnout and overwhelming response to CM Jagan at every stage of the 21-day long yatra is sufficient proof that the ruling party enjoys a huge support among the people of the state.

The resounding success of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Memantha Siddham bus yatra has rattled the opposition’s rank and file too. Not just the opposition leaders, even the political analysts, who were not convinced with the pre-poll surveys, have changed their opinion about CM Jagan and his charisma.

Furthermore, the opposition TDP leaders seem to have accepted their defeat ahead of elections. They have acknowledged that their party is on a sticky wicket and defeating the formidable force called YSRCP is tougher than expected.

Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, who is contesting the upcoming elections as a TDP candidate, has stated that the TDP is facing an uphill task and it is not easy to win the elections.

Speaking to a national English daily, Devarayalu compared the strengths and weaknesses of both the ruling YSRCP and opposition TDP and admitted that the opposition party needs to pull up it’s socks if it really wants to unseat the YSRCP government from power. He also remarked that the TDP will not gain anything from the alliance with the BJP in elections.

Meanwhile, YSRCP responded to Lavu’s comments saying the TDP has laid down its arms even before the electoral battle had begun.
