AP Elections 2024: Pithapuram Assembly constituency will be one high profile seat that will invoke much interest ahead of assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. Kakinada YSRCP MP Vanga Geetha will be contesting against Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan in the upcoming polls.

Noticing a strong YSRCP candidate against him, Pawan Kalyan exuded confidence that Jana Sena will register victory in the forthcoming elections. He remarked that Geetha will cross over to his party after seeing its impressive electoral performance.

Hitting back at the Jana Sena leader, Vanga Geetha said what if I also say Pawan Kalyan will pack up and join the ruling YSRCP after the announcement of poll results.

Geetha has already launched her political campaign in Pithapuram constituency, meeting the people and asking them to vote for YSRCP if they wish to see the welfare schemes continue. The YSRCP candidate looked confident when she said she had the support of everyone in her constituency.

Even though Vanga Geetha has been in politics for over two decades, she got a break with Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party and is now contesting the election against his own brother.

Meanwhile, Makineedi Seshu Kumari, JSP mandal incharge of Pithapuram, will join the ruling YSRCP today. Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will welcome her into the party fold by offering her a party scarf at Tadepalli camp office.
