4% Muslim reservation will remain in the state, and YSR Congress stands by it: CM Jagan in Kurnool

Can Chandrababu promise the reservation for minorities in front of Modi? asks CM Jagan

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Kurnool said, “Chandrababu Naidu likes to continue with BJP, which wants to remove 4% Muslim reservation, but on the other hand, he comes up with new drama to seek minority votes. Have you witnessed a chameleon-like Chandrababu Naidu? 4% of Muslim reservations will remain, and the YSR Congress Party stands by it."

“4 percent reservation will remain in the state. Will Chandrababu be able to speak about the same in the presence of Modi?” asked CM Jagan while questioning the motive behind TDP’s alliance with BJP even after they promised to give away the minority rights.

“Four percent reservation is not given based on religion. The reservation does not categorise the higher caste in the Muslim community like Pathan or Syeds. This reservation is for the backward class of the Muslim Community. People have to note that every religion has a BC, an OC category citizen. It is unacceptable and morally wrong to view minorities through a discriminatory lens. These reservations will persist at all costs,” said Chief Minister Jagan.

“Whether it is Muslim reservation, NRC, CAA, or any other sentiments of minorities, the YSR Congress Party will always stand as a steadfast pillar, supporting their dignity and honour. Schemes like Shaadi Tohfa (marriage assistance), declaring Urdu as a second language, 4 % political reservation for minorities, and a minority MLA serving as the deputy Chief minister for five years in the YSRCP government,” he added.

“I have appointed a minority leader as the Vice President of the Legislative Council. Out of the 175 seats, 4% of the seats were given to minorities as political reservations. Can Chandrababu Naidu even say that he has done any good for the minority community in his life?,” asked CM Jagan.

Kalyandurg

Addressing the people in Kalyandurg, Chief Minister Jagan said, "Chandrababu did not bring any scheme to a poor person and his whole life is. Every time he got power, the poor did not get better. Chandrababu did nothing but abuse his power and looted and shared the loot.”

“During elections, he utilizes this same money to distribute amounts ranging from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 4000 to each voter. I urge the people not to dismiss Chandrababu's cash handouts! Because that money belongs to us! However, when it comes time to vote, decide who has provided better welfare and who deserves to return to power for the betterment of the state,” he added.

Rajampet

Addressing the people in Rajampet, CM Jagan said, "People were expecting the announcement of special category status from the public meetings of NDA. But only disappointment prevailed among those awaiting the news, as the alliance representatives remained silent on the state's public needs."

"The alliance primarily resorted to throwing mud against the YSR Congress Party and Jagan, instead of addressing the critical issues. Prime Minister Modi criticised Chandrababu Naidu as corrupt earlier but praised him merely because of his affiliation with the NDA alliance," said CM Jagan.

The NDA has nothing to offer which benefits the farmers, women, elderly, children, and other social groups, but on the other hand, YSRCP have implemented 99% of the poll promises, according to CM Jagan while noting the NDA's failed promises of 2014 manifesto.

"What kind of Double Engine government could they possibly establish if they failed to deliver on any of the promises made in the 2014 manifesto? This NDA alliance represents the capitalist section of the society," said CM Jagan.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Jagan also promised a new medical college in Rajampet and the tying up of Annamayya colleges with international universities.

"Amit Shah visited Andhra for an election campaign with TDP and the JSP…the alliance with feudal mindset cannot tolerate that English medium is being taught in government schools. They want English for their children but not for the poor. This is nothing but double standards,” said CM Jagan.

“Kurukshetra war is going to happen in four days. The upcoming election is not to elect MPs and MLAs but to continue the welfare schemes for the next five years. If you vote for Jagan, all the schemes will continue but if you vote for Chandrababu by mistake, all the schemes will end.”

The Chief Minister Y S Jagan highlighted that YSRCP has implemented 99% of the promises of the manifesto unlike the previous administration.

“We have deposited over Rs.2.70 lakh crores directly to the beneficiaries of welfare schemes without discrimination or bribes. When YSRCP came to power in 2019, there were 4 lakh jobs in the state but in the last 59 months, we have added 2.31 lakh jobs in the state. Further, we have implemented 99 % of poll promises,” said CM Jagan.

Explaining the schemes implemented in the Education sector, CM Jagan said, “We have renovated schools and introduced English medium with bilingual textbooks, digital teaching in every classroom from 6th standard, Tabs for 8th standard students, TOEFL classes, and IB curriculum amongst others. Schemes like Gorumudda and Amma Vodi encourage mothers to send their children to school. Further, schemes  which provide accommodation for students, linking of online certified courses of international universities to our degrees and making internship mandatory are the measures implemented by YSRCP.”

He also listed out other welfare schemes implemented by YSRCP like Asara, Sunnavaddi, Cheyutha, Kapu Nestam, EBC Nestam which empowered the people along with the distribution of 31 lakh house titles deeds and out of which 22 lakh houses are under construction.

From Rs.3000 pension, delivery of services at the doorstep, farmer assurance, free crop insurance, input subsidy to quality free electricity for 9 hours during the day, RBK system to help farmers, no other government in the past have hand-hold the farmers like YSRCP, said Chief Minister Jagan.

Noting that the YSRCP government stands for self-employment unlike the previous administration, CM Jagan said, “We have supported auto and taxi drivers under Vahana Mitra, fishermen, small traders, lawyers amongst others.”

Explaining the schemes implemented in the Health Sector, CM Jagan said, “No poor person should get into debt in terms of medical needs and the government has implemented free Aarogyasri health insurance with a limit of Rs 25 lakhs, Arogya Asara for post-surgery needs, village clinics, family doctor concept to help the people at their doorstep.”

The Chief Minister also talked about the 600 types of services available at the village and ward secretariats. “A volunteer arrangement for every 60-70 households. Pension, civil services, and schemes that come to the home without bribes and discrimination, all this happened in our current administration along with Mahila police at the village, Disha App, digital libraries under construction,  ” said Chief Minister Jagan.

The Chief Minister also showcased the failed promises of Chandrababu and TDP’s 2014 manifesto pamphlet and asked the crowd whether he implemented any of the mentioned promises. “He was the Chief Minister for 14 years. If you mention the name of this Chandrababu, will any poor person remember even one good thing he did?”

Highlighting the failed promises of Chandrababu Naidu, CM Jagan said, “He promised farm loan waiver of Rs.87,612 crore, waiving of saving society loans worth Rs.14,205 crore, Rs 25,000 deposit if a girl child is born in the state under Mahalakshmi scheme. He didn’t deposit even a single rupee.”

“Unemployment benefit of Rs. 2,000 per month was the promise he gave to every household. Did he give Rs.1.20 lakh to each house at the rate of Rs.2 thousand per month for 5 years?” asked Chief Minister Jagan.

“Special Category Status for Andhra, 3 cents of land for eligible people, BC sub plan with Rs. 10,000 crores, waive of the loans of handloom and power loom weavers, Women Protection Force, develop the state beyond Singapore, hi-tech city in every district but not even single scheme was implemented by Chandrababu Naidu,” said CM Jagan.

“But again, Chandrababu is back with Super Six promises. Do you believe it?” asked CM Jagan while asking the people to vote for the YSRCP Fan symbol.
