Lokesh Disappears from Mangalagiri as YSRCP's Lavanya Hits Campaign Trail

26 Mar, 2024 11:40 IST|Sakshi Post

AP Elections 2024: Mangalagiri assembly seat is a key constituency in the ensuing Andhra Pradesh assembly elections. The candidates of YSRCP and the TDP are running their election campaigns in their own style. YSRCP's Murugudu Lavanya is connecting with voters in a traditional format but TDP's Nara Lokesh is reportedly worried and opting for a more corporate-style approach.

Lavanya, who had said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reposed faith in her, is at the forefront of the YSRCP's campaign. She is reaching out to the people, explaining the welfare schemes of the ruling party. Lavany’s poll campaign is getting a good response from the electorate. She has also exuded confidence in her victory.

In contrast, Lokesh, who had contested and lost from the same constituency in the previous elections, is said to be growing increasingly apprehensive about his prospects. Instead of engaging with the public directly, he is relying more on private meetings and discussing ways to divide voters and drawing up plans to lure them with money. Locals say that the TDP candidate’s is invisible on the ground.
