The rift between the followers of Kesineni brothers has come to the fore yet again. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had conducted a coordination meeting in view of the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s upcoming visit to Tiruvuru town of NTR district on Wednesday.

As the coordination meeting was underway, Kesineni Shivanath, popularly known as Chinni, came to the party office to attend it. The followers of Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) objected to his presence and blocked his way. This led to confrontation between the two groups of Kesineni brothers. People from both sides started trading blows and throwing furniture at each other and turned the premises into a battleground. They also attacked the policemen who tried to control them. Sub-inspector Satish sustained injuries in the attack and was rushed to a hospital.

Naidu is scheduled to visit Tiruvuru on January 7, Sunday. The Kesineni brothers have been monitoring the arrangements for Naidu’s visit separately with local leaders. As part of the preparations, a coordination meeting was held in this regard here on Wednesday. Jana Sena activists were also present at the meeting.

The flexi for the meeting had featured the photo of a realtor-turned-politician Kesineni Chinni but the photo of his own brother Kesineni Nani was missing. This angered the followers of Nani. When they noticed Chinni was entering the office premises, they tore the flexi which showed his photo. Their action disappointed the Jana Sena activists as the photo of their supreme leader Pawan Kalyan was also featured on the flexi banner which was tore by the people in the ensuing chaos. The Jansainiks got up from their seats to express their strong disapproval and boycotted the meeting..

The Nani group also attacked the Tiruvuru in-charge of the party. Chinni was not allowed to enter the party premises. Eventually, the coordination meeting ended without holding any talks.
