What Chandrababu had done for poor in his 14 years as CM?

Babu has no achievements to tell the people: Jagan

Anakapalle: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has come down heavily on TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu for his failures to develop the state during his 14 years of rule and noted that the former chief minister is against English medium education for the poor, which would improve their quality of life during the Memantha Siddham Yatra in Anakapalle on Saturday.

“We have brought in English medium, Gorumudda, Vidya Kanuka, bilingual textbooks, subject teachers from third grade, TOEFL classes from third grade, IFB panel from sixth grade, digital infrastructure in schools, free Tabs for the eighth grade. Only quality education will help the family to get out of poverty and was the reason for our revolutionary schemes but Chandrababu has a problem if poor children get access to it,” said the Chief Minister.

CM Jagan said, “My army of people has come here to support the government that has implemented welfare measures benefiting each and every household of the state.”

“The opposition is running scared after seeing the YSRCP Siddham Sabhas. They are attacking us with anger since the coalition needs power to loot the state. They are instigating the public to hit me with stones,” CM Jagan charged.

Chief Minister Jagan noted that TDP Chief Chandrababu has called him a bacha (kid). “But why are you (Chandrababu Naidu) afraid of a bacha? You were a chief minister for 14 years, but you need alliances to contest the election,” said the YSRCP Chief.

He also added that Kamsa had thought of Krishna as Bacha; Marichudu and Shubhahudu thought of Rama as a bacha; and Ravana thought of Hanuman as a bacha. Historically, when villains are about to lose, they see all the heroes as bachas, said Chief Minister Jagan.

“Your child (Jagan) is on one side, and on the other side, Chandrababu is supported by a few regional media, JSP, BJP, and Congress. The opposition is surrounding me with arrows and stones since Chandrababu is afraid the current government will come back to power to continue the highly successful welfare measures,” said Chief Minister Jagan.

“If I am a bacha… who are you Chandrababu? You have lost badly in the previous elections by securing only 23 seats. If I am a child, I should ask why couldn’t you do any development for the state or its people when you were chief minister for three terms,” asks Chief Minister Jagan.

“We have deposited more than Rs 2.7 lakh crore directly into the accounts of women beneficiaries without any discrimination or bribes. We have given house title pattas to 31 lakh beneficiaries, and the construction is going on a brisk phase,” the Chief Minister said.

He asked the people whether they received a pension on the same date every month, schemes like Amma Vodi, Cheyutha, Kapu Nestham, EBC Nestham, and accommodation grants in the previous administration.

“In the last 58 months, we have brought village secretariats, Rythu Bharosa Kendras, village clinics, volunteer system, family doctor concept, Mahila police at the village level, quality education in government schools, digital libraries under construction in the village. YSRCP government has delivered the schemes without bribes or discrimination,” said Chief Minister Jagan while asking for Chandrababu’s mark (achievement).

The Chief Minister has also noted that investments of Rs. 1 lakh crore, expansion of airports, 2 new industrial corridors, 10 industrial Nodes, 10 fishing harbors, and MSMEs are being supported by the YSRCP government.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the failed assurances of Chandrababu Naidu including farmers' loan waiver of Rs.87,612 crore, saving societies loan waiver of 14,205 crore, Rs 25,000 deposit immediately after the birth of a girl child under the Mahalakshmi scheme, unemployment benefit of Rs. 2 thousand per month, 3 cents of land for the deserving people, BC sub-plan of Rs 10,000 crores, power looms weaver loan waiver, Women Protection Force, developing the state like Singapore, a hi-tech city in every district and so on.

"He didn't even fulfill one promise from 2014 but he is back with fake promises again," said the Chief Minister.
