Huge setback for Jana Sena as Kapu leader quits and joins YSRCP

Amaravati, March 1: Jana Sena PAC (Political Affairs Committee) member and Achanta constituency in charge Chegondi Surya Prakash joined YSRCP in the presence of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Camp Office here on Friday.

Chegondi Surya Prakash is an influential person. He is the son of former minister and Kapu crusader Chegondi Hari Rama Jogaiah. This development comes as a huge jolt to the Jana Sena party.

Jana Sena party has compromised over its seats in the alliance and is confined to a meagre 24 Assembly seats and 3 MP seats. This led to huge disappointment for the party leaders and cadres across the state in the rest of the Assembly and Parliament constituencies. Several aspirants took to protests and vowed to defeat the TDP candidates.
