AP Elections 2024: YSRCP Candidates List Released

YSRCP Candidates List: Chief minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released the final list of candidates at Idupulapaya on Saturday. The names of party candidates were announced for 175 assembly segments and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies. 

Efforts have been made to reflect the social engineering in the distribution of seats for the forthcoming elections. The ruling party has ensured proper representation of BCs, SCs, STs, and minorities while selecting the candidates for the upcoming polls. 

In the 2019 elections, the ruling party fielded 48 candidates from the Backward Classes community. Now, the party has announced 59 candidates which is up by 11 for the 2024 elections.

Similarly, the party has given 7 tickets to minority communities while 5 candidates had contested the elections in the previous assembly elections. On the other hand, the women's candidature has seen a jump from 19 candidates in 2019 elections to 24 candidates in 2024 elections.
