Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Heavy Rainfall Expected today, Nov 29!

Several districts across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are on alert as widespread rainfall is expected to intensify over the next few hours today, November 29. Weather officials have indicated that changing atmospheric conditions over the Bay of Bengal could trigger heavy showers, particularly in coastal and interior regions.

Coastal Andhra districts, including East and West Godavari, Krishna, and Guntur, are likely to see spells of heavy rain, while parts of Rayalaseema and southern Telangana may also receive significant precipitation. Authorities have cautioned residents in low-lying and flood-prone areas to stay vigilant as water levels in streams and canals could rise.

In view of the expected weather conditions, there is growing anticipation among parents and students regarding possible school holidays. However, as of now, no official announcement has been made by district administrations regarding the closure of schools or colleges. Officials stated that decisions on holidays will depend on the intensity of rainfall during the day and further updates from weather agencies.

The State Disaster Management Department has urged the public to follow advisories, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain, and keep track of official notifications for timely updates.
