Nalgonda: Congress MLA Komatireddi Venkat Reddy criticised TRS government and said it was partisan towards Siddipet and Sircilla. Talking to media here today, he said that after a long pending request, finally Nalgonda and Suryapet district have been sanctioned a medical college. "But the government was discriminating by sanctioning Rs 70 crore for Siddipet medical college while it allotted a meagre Rs 25 crore for Nalgonda medical college," he said.

The Congress MLA alleged that the government was behaving in different ways for different regions. He pointed out that even in case of accidents the ex-gratia announced for the victims in Siddipet region was more than that of the victims in Nalgonda region. Expressing his surprise over the Telangana government placing an order of Rs 250 crore worth Bathukamma sarees, he questioned if no other region in the state had saree weavers. "It appears as if Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was CM of only Siddipet and Sircilla."

Pointing out the discrimination, Komatireddi said Kaleswaram project was amply funded whereas there were no funds for SLBC project. He asked if Nalgonda was not a part of Telangana. He questioned why the CM was delaying the works of SLBC project, although he had promised to complete it much earlier. "Was it because the project was initiated by me during Congress rule?" He said that there was no minimum support price for the farm produces. Government was not paying the money for NREGA works, he observed.

Komatireddi alleged that government was planning to shut down RTC and expressed Congress party support to the demands of the RTC employees. He said a planned attack on him was being done by TRS and referred to different events that prove the point. Boddapalli Srinu's murder, expulsion from legislative assembly and removal of gunmen, all these clearly indicate that a conspiracy was being hatched to harm him politically.

He called upon the government to recognise him as an MLA, and warned that he would file a contempt of court case, if it failed to do so.
