
New Delhi: A Civil Engineer Manav Sharma (28) died after his throat was slit by a kite's string while he was going to a relative’s place.
After celebrating Rakshabandhan with his two younger sisters, he was returning to his aunt's place on his bike, a senior police officer said.
When he was travelling on the Vihar flyover the string of a kite got over his neck and slit his throat, the cut was deep and he fell before he could stop the bike.
Manav was taken to a hospital for treatment where he was declared brought dead. His sisters were unhurt.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
