Hyderabad: With over 150 children dead and more than 400 with acute encephalitis syndrome (AES) admitted to hospital in Bihar, Aaj Tak news anchor Anjana Om Kashyap who reported from the Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur faced immense backlash on Tuesday for heckling doctors instead of questioning ministers.

Many on social media questioned how she could enter the ICU in the first place. Many also called her out for interfering in work while the doctors and nurses were on duty.

#AnjanaOmKashyap was the top trend on Twitter yesterday while on Wednesday morning #shameonanjanaomkashyap was trending with almost 5,000 people tweeting with the hashtag.

Most users pointed out that she was more driven by TRPs instead of posing real questions to the politicians. Some pointed out that the questions she asked to the doctors and the nurses should actually have been posed to the ministers.
