Narendra Modi Wedding Photo Viral  

A rare picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his wife is doing rounds on the social platforms. The picture is from the Narendra Modi and his wife Jashodaben's marriage which took place when he was a teenager. PM Modi got engaged to Jashodaben at the age of 13 and married her when he was 18. However, this information didn't come forth to the public view until the General Elections in 2014 when Modi filed his nomination for the Vadodara seat of the Parliament of India.

As per the Representation of the People Act, Modi was asked to declare any previous marriage, following which he acknowledged his marriage for the first time in public. Prior to this admission, he had always maintained to be single and didn't respond to any official documents inquiring about a spouse. He left the field for "spouse" blank in four Assembly polls.

Later on, Modi's brother, Somabhai Modi released a statement saying that the arranged child marriage was forced by his family adding that Modi left the marriage after it was solemnized. Now in a rare instance, a picture of the estranged couple has gone viral on social media. Have a look:
