Bus Driver Uses Bamboo Stick For Gear Lever  

Mumbai: Risking the lives of the kids sitting in the buses, a bus driver had rammed into a BMW at Mumbai West’s Khar, near Madhu Park. The BMW driver had followed the bus to catch the driver, only to find that the bus was missing a gear lever, and it was replaced with a bamboo stick. Noticing this, the owner of the BMW called the police and informed them about the same. The bus driver said that he was using the bamboo stick instead of the gear lever for over three days.

The bus driver Raj Kumar has been working for Santa Cruz’s Poddar educational complex. On questioning the driver, he stated that he did not get the time to have the gear lever replaced.

Meanwhile, the educational institution gave out a statement stating that all the students are safe and out of danger. “A complete audit is also immediately being carried out of all the school buses. The school will once again conduct a thorough training of all transport contractor drivers and staff,” the statement added.
