Churu: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an election campaign meeting at Churu in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. This could be seen as a first address to the nation after India's second surgical strike on Pakistan terror camps in retaliation for Pulwama terror attack on February 14.

Starting off the speech he said today was a festive day for the nation. He also reminded the people of what he had spoke in 2014 and reiterated the same poetic message about how he would not let the country down and that there was nothing more supreme than protecting the honour of the nation.

The crowds turned emotional and raised the slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai ". Narendra Modi said that he would never let the pride of the country down and would work for its victory. He expressed his gratitude, paid respects to the heroes of the surgical strike today, and said that the country was in safe hands.

He raised the slogan Jai Jawan Jai Kisan and said that the One rank One pension will be implemented for the Army men.
