Chittoor: In a gruesome murder, a man killed two youths after getting cheated by them over a marriage deal at Errasanepalli village in Thamballapalle mandal in Chittoor district on Saturday.

According to the police, the victims were identified as Jagadeshwar Reddy and Amarnath Reddy who belonged to Erramaddivaripalle village. The victims were brothers and handlooms weavers by profession.

The duo were jailed after they found guilty by a court in a robbery and a murder case. During the jail term, they happened to meet one Shanker Reddy of Peddapalli village.

Shanker Reddy asked both Jagadeshwar and Amarnath to marry his two sisters who have no one to look after. After coming out of jail, Shanker Reddy learnt that one of the brothers — Jagadeshwar Reddy is likely to get life imprisonment for his role in a murder case.

Meanwhile, Jagadeshwar had been pressurising Shanker to fix the marriage with the his sister. Shanker Reddy learnt that if Jagadeshwar Reddy is imprisoned for life, he had to look after his sister for a lifetime. So he decided to kill Jagadeshwar Reddy.

As per the plan, Shanker Reddy called Jagadeshwar Reddy and Amarnath Reddy to mango orchard at Peddapalli village for a party. With the help of four of his friends, Shankar Reddy brutally killed Jagadeshwar Reddy and Amarnath Reddy, the police said. The accused and four others were arrested and a case was registered.
