Karimnagar: Wife of the man who was killed in the temple queue line at Vemulawada Rajanna temple around midnight on Sunday is found to be behind the murder. The deceased, Bandi Balaiah of Nangunuru in Medak district, came back from Dubai 20 days back.
When Balaiah was away from home, his wife Narsamma developed an extra-marital relationship with another man. She and her paramour had planned to eliminate Balaiah so that they could marry and live happily ever after. She was a mother of two children.
On Sunday, Narsamma asked Balaiah to take her to Vemulawada. They left their children at home with grandparents and arrived in the temple town. Then Narsamma called up her paramour to join them. All of them consumed alcohol in the evening.
The woman then encouraged her husband to go into the temple and take a dip in the Koneru at midnight. When the man obliged her out of love, she alerted her paramour to attack him with a razor blade. As the place was deserted, she and her paramour attacked Balaiah and grievously injured him with a razor. He succumbed to the injuries on the spot.
However, the paramour abandoned Narsamma and went absconding. The woman was nabbed by the police in the early hours when she was trying to board a bus to Hyderabad.
