Man Held For Impregnating Minor Girl

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old man was today arrested for allegedly raping and impregnating a minor girl here, police said.
The man, identified as Hussain, on the pretext of helping the 15-year-old girl learn to drive a two-wheeler allegedly sexually assaulted her, they said. She is now eight months pregnant, police said. The accused, the girl's neighbour, also promised to marry her but got engaged to another woman, they said.
Following a complaint lodged by the girl's family, police registered a case against him under relevant sections of IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act.
