The Andhra Pradesh Government recently left majority of LPG consumers bitter as it announced the much-hyped Dussehra gift only to a select few in the form of additional cylinders on subsidy.

Only those families that got LPG connection under the Deepam scheme will get additional three cylinders per annum at the subsidized price.

YSRCP spokesperson Ambati Rambabu today questioned the Kirankumar Reddy Government as to why the State Government is not in a position to supply nine refills to the consumers when all the other Congress-ruled States are implementing the directives of "your party president Sonia Gandhi." Addressing a press conference at YSRCP's party office, Ambati reminded the promise made by none other than Sonia Gandhi to all the Congress-led State Governments to take steps to supply nine cylinders on subsidy.

"Are you violating the directives of your own party president Sonia," he asked and strongly condemned Kirankumar Reddy for his latest decision to supply three additional cylinders on subsidy only for selected families.

"Is this the gift that you are giving for our people who have sent 33 MPs to the Lok Sabha. Or, you are implementing the agenda of TDP president N Chandrababau Naidu," Ambati asked. Alleging that inmates of government hostels are facing umpteen problems due to the lack of gas supply, he said that the government should take steps to supply enough cylinders to them.
