I did not get out of the car, clarifies Ram Charan

Clarifying the roadside tiff after four days, film star and son of Chiranjeevi, Union Minister for Tourism, Ram Charan clarified on Thursday, that he did not get down the car as was alleged.

On Sunday, two software engineers Phaneesh and Kalyan, were beaten up black and blue by the security personnel of Ram Charan over a trivial issue.
Talking to media persons on Thursday, Ram Charan said that they had behaved rudely, and that the photos shown in the channels were morphed ones. A photographer had tried to blackmail him with morphed photos. The scene would have been different if he had gotten down the car, he said.

Stating that he was with his wife Upasana in the car when the brawl took place, he said the two techies repeatedly sounded horn behind him, when red signal was on, and they had knocked his glass window and behaved rudely. Being a family man,  I asked my security men to handle the matter.

Ram Charan said the people who had an altercation with him did not look like IT professionals. He also expressed his suspicions that they were in an inebriated condition, being Sunday, and that might have been the reason they got down the car without chappals. He did not lodge complaint in view of his film career, Ram Charan said.
