House adjourned twice as YSRCP raises price rise issue

The AP legislative assembly was adjourned twice on Thursday morning. There was din when the YSRCP gave an adjournment notice under Section 344 to discuss the issue of rising prices.

However, Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad insisted that question hour be taken up first and the issue of price rise be taken up after the issues on agenda are completed.
The Opposition insisted that the issue be taken up immediately as the house will not have enough time to take up price rise if items on Agenda were taken up first. The speaker adjourned the house for sometime. When the house reassembled, YS Jagan said the rising prices were shocking the people and wanted the issue be taken up immediately.
At this Minister Acham Naidu, known for vituperative attacks on YS Jagan, said the YSRCP should be renamed as a party of psychos. At this, the YSRCP members strongly protested and raised slogans. They wanted the minister to tender an unqualified apology. At this the speaker had adjourned the house a second time.
After the house reassembled, the YSRCP said that it would move a privilege motion against Acham Naidu.
