Hijras slit throat of passenger at Nayadupeta

  In a ghastly incident, eunuch street beggars snatched away gold ornaments from a passenger and slit his throat at Naidupet railway station in Nellore district.

A group of eunuchs accosted Puderu Chittibabu, who came to the station to catch a train. They demanded him to give money. When he refused to give money, they slit his throat and escaped with the bag that contained gold.

A grievously injured Chittibabu was rushed to the Government hospital, where he is stated to be in critical condition. The police registered a case and are investigating.
