High Court okays Aug 19 survey

The High Court of Andhra Pradesh gave a go-ahead on Monday to the Intensive House Hold Survey proposed by the Telangana government on August 19.

Responding to a petition filed in the court, it said that they can’t impose stay on the survey immediately.

Court said that all guidelines relating to the survey were clearly mentioned in the G.O.No.50.

Telangana government apparently announced the survey with the intention of sanctioning welfare schemes only for the eligible persons.

The information on one crore families will be collected on August 19. For this program, about 3.76 lakh enumerators were employed around Telangana.
