Good News From SBI On Minimum Balance

Mumbai: Here is some good news for customers of State Bank of India (SBI) on the issue of maintaning minimum balance.
The bank on Saturday clarified that three categories of customers maintaining savings account with SBI are completely exempt from penalty. They include customers with Corporate Salary Package, Small and Basic Savings Bank Account and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna. These customers are exempt from maintaining minimum balance in their accounts.
