Glory only after Jagan’s return: Vijayamma

It is a dream of late YSR to bring cheers in the faces of thousands of farmers of Telangana through Pranahita-Chevella Sujala Sravanti, the irrigation project on the border of Andhra- Maharasthra states at Tummudi Hetti in Koutala mandal of Adilabad district.

 YSR had laid the foundation stone for the project on December 17, 2008 with an aim to provide irrigation water to 16.40 lakh acres. YSR had dreamed to provide National status for Pranahita-Chevella along with Polavaram project. But it was totally ignored by his successors. Now the project was in a state of dilapidation. 

Y S Vijayamma, honorary president of YSR Congress on Tuesday visited the project site where late YSR laid the foundation stone. Speaking on the occasion, she said the project would get glory only after the return of her son Jagan Mohan Reddy.  Vijayamma observed that the project would have brought lush-green paddy fields in the most backward region of Telangana. She promised that her son Jagan Mohan Reddy would bring back lost glory by completing the project soon after he came to power. 

Vijayamma went round the project and observed the present status of the project. She was accompanied by YSRCP leaders Konda Surekha, Indrakaran Reddy, Koneru Konappa, Janak Prasad and others.
