Former TDP minister sulks over GHMC ticket allocation

Former minister and Telangana TDP vice-president Krishna Yadav has resigned from the party post on Friday. He is said to be upset for being ignored in the party ticket allocation for the GHMC polls.

His resignation is being seen as a big jolt to the party as he comes from the powerful Yadav community, which is in sizeable strength in twin cities. The other prominent Yadav leader, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, has already defected from the TDP.
Krishna Yadav, who hails from the Old City, was labour minister in the TDP government and was later arrested in the fake stamps racket. He was suspended from the party in 2003. After his jail term, he rejoined the TDP, but was dissatisfied as he was ignored for the party's city unit president post. Party ignoring him in the GHMC ticket allocation proved to be the proverbial last straw for Krishna Yadav.
