TFI And Fans Greet SS Rajamouli On His 46th Birthday

One of the most successful filmmakers of modern times, Baahubali director Srisaila Sri Rajamouli best known as SS Rajamouli turned 46 today.

SS Rajamouli was born in 1973 at Amareshwara Camp near Manvi in Raichur District, Karnataka to screenwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad and Raja Nandini.

SS Rajamouli is the top most name that pops up when it comes to not only Telugu cinema but also the overall Indian film industry. A Padma Shree awardee winner, he is best known for his magnum opus - Baahubali The Beginning and its sequel Baahubali The Conclusion , which actually gave him a huge appreciation and changed the course of Telugu cinema.

His filmography as a director is not just about the Baahubali, but also the Hindi speaking audience got to witness his magic in a highly imaginative and creative fantasy thriller Makkhi, originally known as Eega in Telugu.

Rajamouli started his career in Telugu entertainment from directing Telugu daily soap operas and TV series. He made his Telugu film directorial debut in 2001 with the film Student No.1 which went on to become a hit for the hero Jr NTR. So far, he directed 11 films including Baahubali and its sequel with the upcoming RRR being his 12th film.

All 11 of his films have been box office successes from Hit, Super Hit, Blockbuster, and Industry Hit to All India Blockbuster. Baahubali set a benchmark in marking the success of any film in the box office market, a trend which will be followed in years to come.
