After a long gap of more than two years, Rebel Star Prabhas made a dashing entry on the screen with Saaho. Expectations are riding high on this thriller, packed with adventure made on an international scale. It is filled with action scenes from international locations, as well. Saaho has been dubbed as the biggest action adventure film in recent years. The big question is, does it meet the expectations of audiences and industry watchers? Will Prabhas take his image as a pan India star established through Baahubali, a notch higher with Saaho? Sujeet, its director has only one previous film under his belt.

Saaho hit the right box office buttons overseas. Fans say that Prabhas who swept audiences away with Baahubali, enthralled them with his performance in Saaho. In particular, his performance in action scenes, coupled with his looks, is stunning, say fans. To a certain extent, the trailer gives us an idea of the plot. How did the superhero in the film take on a wide range of villains arrayed against him? This is the crux of the story in Saaho.

Though this appears simple on the surface, the director, Sujeet gives the plot a series of twists and turns to make it appealing to the viewer. From the get go Saaho moves quickly into an action mode and has the audiences spellbound. This is entirely on account of the brilliant screenplay and direction of Sujeet.

The visuals in many scenes take your breath away on the scale that one expects. However, the first half holds most of the content back for the post interval session. Overseas reviewers say that Shraddha Kapoor‘s performance leaves much to be desired. The film rides on the broad shoulders of Prabhas who carries it with aplomb. Saaho is a Prabhas show all the way. While the songs are entertaining, at times they break the pace of the film. Chunky Pandey is the only other star who shows some promise in the film. In the opinion of some overseas viewers graphics are not up to the mark in Saaho. In spite of being a thrilling action movie, it disappoints in many places, say some viewers and analysts based abroad.
