Superstar Mahesh Babu is basking in the glory of recently released 'Maharshi'. So far, the film has raked in a share of Rs 72.79 Cr in AP and Telangana in 11 days of its run. If reports are going to anything by 'Maharshi' is not performing well on foreign shores. It got released amid huge expectations but failed to put the box office on fire. It is being speculated that Mahesh's 'Maharshi' has become a hot topic on social media platforms. This time, the scenario is totally different and people are laughing over 'Maharshi'.

Long back, Mahesh Babu fans were shocked over his behaviour during the time of 'Dookudu' release. Mahesh Babu had posted out a tweet by mentioning that 'Dookudu' has turned out to be the biggest hit in Tollywood history beating Ram Charan's career hit 'Magadheera'. Mahesh Babu's biggest flop 'Spyder' collections were also hyped with movie poster indicating Rs 150 Cr gross collections.

But, Spyder didn't fetch that much amount at the box office. Now, coming to Maharshi, the makers seem to have taken the hyped numbers game to an all new level. Neither Mahesh Babu nor the filmmakers are tweeting publicly about the collections but they are holding success meet in public events as a part of promoting the film. Why is Mahesh Babu promoting 'Maharshi' as a blockbuster? Is Mahesh Babu reeling under pressure due to blockbuster hits of Prabhas' 'Baahubali' and Ram Charan's 'Rangasthalam'? Mahesh Babu should choose better films to beat other film records rather than creating hype over 'Maharshi' labeling a mediocre film as a classic.

According to sources, 'Maharshi' would stream on Amazon Prime Video in the first week of August. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the movie also stars Allari Naresh, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu among others in key roles.
