Mahesh Babu's 'Maharshi' released on May 9 is doing pretty well at the box office. 'Maharshi' has received critical acclaim and is heading to become the biggest hit of this month. With the film running in full packed theatres, the box office collections of Maharshi is expected to set an all-new record soon.

Mahesh Babu enjoys unfathomable fanbase not only in the Telugu state but he is also a household name in Tamil Nadu, particularly in Chennai. Mahesh's 'Bharat Ane Nenu' grossed Rs 1.7 Cr at the end of its theatrical run in Chennai.

Meanwhile, Maharshi is garnering good box office collections in the city. So far, 'Maharshi' has earned a gross of Rs 42 lakhs in Chennai.

Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Maharshi also stars Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in key roles including supporting cast - Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj. Mahesh Babu's earlier movie 'Bharat Ane Nenu' was a phenomenal hit at the box office.
