Priyanka Chopra Spent Rs 55 lakh On Met Gala Dress To Get Trolled?

Global icon Priyanka Chopra's appearance for this year's Met Gala has fuelled an online meme fest ever since her pictures surfaced from the event. The actress came along with her husband Nick Jonas wearing a dramatic Dior caged dress with cascading rainbow feathered skirt and cape.

Styled by Mimi Cuttrell, PC's interpretation of the theme which was an homage to Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay, Notes on ‘Camp' was intact.

The dress comprised of a sheer bodice with silver criss-cross detailing and a skirt and trailing cape featuring feathers in the shades of grey, pink, red and yellow. The surprising aspect is that the actress spent a whopping Rs 4,583,280 for the dress while her silver pumps cost her Rs 24,030. Apart from this, Priyanka Chopra was also dripping head to toe in diamond jewellery by Chopard worth Rs 10 lakh.

Even though Priyanka Chopra followed the dress code to the T, her ensemble didn't go down well with the fans with several memes centered around the look began doing the rounds of social media following her appearance at the Met Gala.
