Telugu youth sensation Vijay Deverakonda is one actor, every actress wants to work with currently. He is a new entrant to Tollywood. A while back, there was a buzz that Vijay Deverakonda has become a competitor to his peers such as Nani, Nikhil, Sai Dharam Tej among others. He has delivered a string of back to back hits in a year.

If you may recall, 2018 was a fantastic year for Deverakonda as he had tasted the success of 'Geetha Govindam', 'Mahanati' and 'Taxiwala'. Vijay Deverakonda set up a strong foothold for himself in the film Industry. Vijay Deverakonda is picking up meaty roles, thus creating an impact and also attracting the audience. Deverakonda's movies have been box office successes. It is impossible for the fans to pay attention to anything else if Deverakonda is on screen.

Currently, Deverakonda's contemporary star could be Natural star Nani. His recent outing 'Jersey' is performing well on foreign shores when compared to the domestic box office. One cannot deny the fact 'Jersey' has been facing competition from the Hollywood film 'Avengers: End Game'. However, 'Jersey' which garnered Rs 26 crores has not yet earned the break-even figure and is expected to do so by the end of its theatrical run.

Deverakonda's solo films which included 'Geetha Govindam' collected Rs 62 Crore share while 'Arjun Reddy' and 'Mahanati' earned Rs 40 Cr share. In this context, Nani is behind Vijay Deverakonda. Nevertheless, the movie business doesn't leave any impact on the actors. Interestingly, Deverakonda made his full-fledged entry with Nani in Yevade Subramanyam.

On the career front, Nani is busy shooting for 'Gang Leader' which will be directed by Vikram Kumar. Vijay Deverakonda is waiting for the release of 'Dear Comrade' which is in the post-production stage. It is expected to release by mid of June.
