Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s first movie together after marriage, ‘Majili’ had created a lot of buzz and raised expectations among the audiences. The latest we hear is that Majili has opened to overwhelming response from the audience and raking in jaw dropping figures at the ticket window.

Naga Chaitanya too tasted box office success with ‘Majili’ after a long hiatus. His last two film were ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’ and ‘Savyasachi’ which opened to lukewarm response and failed to become box office winners. According to official sources , ‘Majili’ has garnered career best opening for Yuva Samrat Chaitanya in USA.

The film has earned glowing reviews from critics as well as the audience. The film gathered positive word of mouth from all quarters and as expected,  set the cash registers ringing at the box office. The film in all likelihood will rake in whopping figures at the box office in the coming days. The film is expected to cash in on the Ugadi weekend and all set to earn Rs 50 Crores in its opening weekend itself.

Majili is a the tale of a cricketer's love  failure. He gets addicted to alcohol and his life changes after Samantha's entry. It is an emotional rollercoaster ride with some hard hitting dialogues that connects with the youth. Naga Chaitanya and remaining cast of the film have performed well. Samantha has nailed her character in the role of Sravani in ‘Majili’. Audience are gushing about the film and Samantha fans can’t stop raving about her.

Talking about movie collections, the film has reportedly managed to register approximately eight crores on its opening day at the box office. Official figures are yet to be known.

Majili is directed by Shiva Nirvana and the music has been composed by SS Thaman.
