2.0 is one of the most anticipated films in recent times which is gearing up for release on November 29. Though the film was slated for release on Diwali, due to the delay of post-production work, the film is finally hitting theatres next week. The trailer of the film has raised the expectations among the audience who can't wait for to experience the thrill to watch Shankar's magic on big screen. Even before the film release, 2.0 is already breaking records and it has reportedly earned Rs 120 crores as of now from just advance booking. This big budget entertainer is all set to hit the screens on Thursday and no other film is getting released this week.

According to reports, the science fiction drama has broken one more record of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2. If the ongoing reports are anything to go by, 2.0 is all set to release in 6,600 to 6,800 screens across the nation. Baahubali had released in 6,500 screens approximately. 2.0 is beating the industry records even before its release and we have to see how many records it is going to break in the coming days. Recently, the movie team released a 2 minute video song depicting a beautiful set and the song itself is a visual feast to the audience. Director Shankar is the king of visulising songs on which he spends a lot of time and money.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar plays a pivotal role in the film marking his Tamil debut. Superstar Rajinikanth is the main lead and Amy Jackson is the female lead of the film.
