Aravinda Sametha Rules Chennai Box Office Despite Tamil Releases

Jr.NTR's Aravinda Sametha is doing steady business at the worldwide box office. The film opened to a phenomenal response at USA box office and started breaking records of other films. Aravinda Sametha has joined $1 million mark with premiere shows and opening day collections and has become the sixth film to achieve this feat after Jr NTR's Jai Lava Kusa, Janatha Garage, Nannaku Prematho, Temper and Dhammu at the ticket window.There is no doubt, Aravinda Sametha might even reache the $2 million mark by the opening weekend.Aravinda Sametha satellite rights have been sold for a fancy price of Rs 23.50 Crore and rights for this film were bagged by Zee Telugu,which is till date the highest figure for Jr. NTR's film.

Jr.NTR and Trivikram Srinivas have collaborated for the first time for Aravinda Sametha and their combo has proved their mettle at the box office. It is being speculated that Tollywood top stars who have stepped back to work with Trivikram Srinivas after Agnyaathavaasi's failure are now showing keen to work with him. Several Tollywood A-listers are eyeing to work with him after seeing the massive response to Aravinda Sametha. Pooja Hedge and Eesha Rebba are seen as female leads in the film. Aravinda Sametha is an action thriller film where NTR tries to show that non-violence works best in these times. Veteran actor Nagababu is seen as NTR's father in the film, while Jagapathi Babu plays the villain.

Aravinda Sametha has shattered Jr.NTR's previous record and turned out to be the highest opener at the box office. Latest we hear is that, Aravinda Sametha has earned Rs 16 lakhs at the Chennai box office and is ruling the Tamil box office despite facing stiff competition with other popular Tamil releases.
