NOTA Collections Dip Jolts Vijay Devarakonda
Vijay Deverakonda has scored back to back hits with two blockbuster Geetha Govindam and Arjun Reddy. If NOTA turns out to be hit, then it would have become a hattrick in Vijay Deverakonda's career. NOTA has created huge buzz amongst the audiences with its teaser, trailer, as well as its unique movie promotions. But the film failed to live up to the audience expectations.
Even if the actor gives a stellar performance in the film only content will rule the box office and this is exactly what has happened with Deverakonda's NOTA film. His fans and audiences are raving about his performance in the film on social media,but, they are blaming the director for its poor script.
According to sources, NOTA earned 7.5 Cr on the first day at the box office. Trade sources have expected that the figure may double during the weekend. Unfortunately, the film's collections have dipped due to mixed reviews and with with the piracy issue where the entire film was leaked on the torrent sites, this could further reduce its collections. NOTA collected around Rs.70 Lakhs on Saturday and Sunday. Overall the total collection is estimated to be around Rs. 8.2 Cr. It remains to be seen, how the film will work at the box office in the coming weekdays. NOTA is directed by Anand Shankar also features Nassar and Sathya Raj in pivotal roles.
